Impressive on how Truls is playing, but ngl his personality and celebrations sometimes get on my nerves (maybe it’s cause I grew up with the idea that you shouldn’t celebrate so wildly out of respect for your opponent, cause I would go nothing more than a loud “cho-lei”)

Yes but Hirano and Ito only have either WTTC or Olympic bronze, not both. You could argue that Hirano is the greatest of all time with her big ATTC win, but in terms of current strength it's hard to say that Hirano with her struggling forehand against SYB is better than Hayata hammering away at the tougher Pyon.
As I noted, this Olympics are more difficult, but the general public never sees it that way. Their focus now is whether Hayata can at least equal Ito's results at Tokyo 2020 - gold in XD, bronze in WS and silver in WT. Hayata has already failed.

Hayata has not demonstrated the ability to get past multiple CNT players (let alone the top 3), which Hirano and Ito have, albeit in lower tiers of competitions. She needs to achieve something that is unique/exclusive to her. Getting past WYD ONLY, albeit twice, is sadly not enough as Mizutani and Harimoto pointed out. No matter how many silver or bronze medals she gets, if she doesn't get past one, two or all of the top 3 CNT players on her way, she will be labeled as the one who is always catching up, just like how TV Tokyo depicts her in the promos to this day.

If Felix does, he needs to thank Harimoto for wearing out FZD. More likely he will be cursing Harimoto for prepping FZD.
its also going to be a competition between the Chinese crowd and French crowd

This Supersaiyan from PRK is going to eliminate Hayata as well. Insane.
Luckily, Hayata was too dumb to realize she was supposed to lose. I heard the mentally challenged are less prone to anxiety in situations like this due to less overthinking (can't overthink if you're too dumb to think!). If you ask me, I feel that's an unfair advantage. Japan shouldn't be allowed to field dumb players.

It's never cheap, always specially made.

Nah, she was using the commercial version of the Yinhe guaranteed. Just like how the other pro players are also using the Butterfly and DHS blades they found off the rack of their local pro shop.

Last Swedish men's singles medal was from Walder (silver) in 2000.

Walder and Persson then finished 4th in 2004 and 2008 respectively. Can Truls break the curse?
It's Waldner. Waldner. W A L D N E R...
You can't do dat to my idol...

Hayata's ability to vary short touch play with clever fast long pushes, at critical moments got her home against Pyong. The Korean seemed to match her swapping big shots and moving in the middle distance. I was a little surprised that she was caught out in errors over the table. Full marks to HH and coach for spotting and exploiting the weakness. I hope NK will give their new star a chance to play again soon.

WS SF
SYB 0-4 CM (-7, -6, -7, -7)
CM has dropped 2 games so far, 1 to Bergstrom and 1 to Eerland. Amazing DHK managed to be 2-0 up and had the lead in G4 at Tokyo 2020.
