Well everybody talked about how low his performance was prior to the WTTC. He is human not god he cant win all the world tour opens, today he proved once more that he is the man to do the job, totally outsmarted Xu Xin. XX had his chances but he should have changed his game earlier, he gave ZJK a real headache but in the last two sets only

Zhang Jike seems to read XX's tactics so well, he was precise in every single move. Especially ZJK used a lot down-the-line topspin to finish the ball. What a change!

Sad to say, but this is another failure of Xu Xin to show up for an important match
Lost 4-3 to Chen Qi in WTTC 2009
Lost 4-1 to an aging WLQ in WTTC 2011
Lost 4-0 to Ma Long in World Cup 2012
Lost 4-0 to Zhang Jike in WTTC 2013

In these last 3 losses especially, he has failed to show up with his active game....he just played passively and defended the whole time. He is so good when he is flowing freely and creating awesome shots, but when there is pressure he seems to become too tense...and because his game really requires him to make these athletic shots, tension really kills him. I was hoping that he had gotten over this issue, but it doesn't seem to be the case. As for Zhang Jike....he played well - but this was a "solid" performance rather than a "special" one. The sad thing for XX is that he didn't even make ZJK play his best in order to win comprehensively.

Well Xu Xin could do anything and he wouldnt win..
I dont think anyone can beat Zhang in this form..
Just what I wrote earlier..
Anyways I hope Ma Long can do it.
If Ma Long will lose to Wang Hao - which I hope he wont, Zhang will win for sure.
If Ma Long goes to the finals, he can beat Zhang, I hope he can..
It will be pretty interesting match for sure!
I only hope we wont get another Zhang Jike vs. Wang Hao final, because that will be really boring..

Did not expect Xu Xin will lose so badly. Wow, ZJK tied all XX's movements. A shot to the edge of FH, then followed by a shot to BH XX. Such a simple tactic, but surely not easy to execute when play with such a highly skill player like XX. Great play by ZJK.
