Here is a small interview with Jonas Wilén who is the Product Manager of STIGA:
TTCS: Why did you decide to start sponsoring the Challenger Series tournament?
Jonas: We have followed the Challenger Series rather close for a while and we have seen how the tournament have progressed and we have understood that this is a very good place to invest and to be. We are very happy that we could find this agreement and we want this to be long term. That is our way of working, long term.
TTCS: We have been seeing STIGA quite energetic recently regarding it's sponsoring and marketing approach. What are your goals with this marketing activitiy supporting Challenger Series?
Jonas: Our goals with all our sponsoring is to build the brand and of course in the long run create a bigger demand and increased sales of our products. We feel that we are on the right way and the Challenger Series is one more step in the right direction to make STIGA more visible.
TTCS: What are the future, if any, plans or goals for STIGA in terms of marketing in table tennis?
Jonas: It's the same as above. We will continue to be more and more visible for the players, coaches and consumers.
We are also bag on the international stage by sponsoring the big event World Team Classic who recently was played in Guangzhou, China. Also we're sponsor of this event 2015 when it will be played again.
Then we of course try to get more national teams, events and players.
We see this as an important step to grow the brand.
