Zhang Jike won his next two matches 3:0!
Zhang Jike vs Zhou Yu 3:0 (11:9, 13:11, 11:9)
Zhang Jike vs Yan An 3:0 (11:5, 11:8, 11:6)
Yan An is playing bad because he is injured. He has no chance to become #1 in this stage. I hope the couches select him for the team.

Note: The women's schedule were changed after Ding Ning went to the hospital to get a relief treatment for her cold caused fever after the second match. She came back to play the third match against Zhang Qiang, but couldn't manage a fourth match with Wu Yang. This match has been postponed. Therefore, while all other players played four matches the first day, Ding Ning and Wu Yang only played three matches. They may have to play an extra match (fifth match) on the second day, the 26th.

Wang Hao and Yan An lost to Hao Shuai. Seems like Hao Shuai is on form. Liang Jingkun defeated Ma Long and Zhang Jike! If he can defeat Xu Xin he can qualify for WTTTC.

Not necessarily unless Liang Jingkun is the winner of the 12 men Round Robin round (the first stage) or the 8 men knock out round (the second stage), then he'll gain automatic entrance into the squad. If CNT wants a young gun on the team, Fan Zhendong will be the first choice. However, CNT cannot afford to have two teenagers on the team for a major competition like WTTTC. Liang's performance in Junior Championships was mixed. He performed outstandingly and courageously in the team's final against Japan, twice bringing Chinese team from behind. But, he fell short of expectation in men's single's event, losing to the eventual champion Korea's JANG Woojin in round of 16. He was favored to win this year. Don't know if the team event consumed too much of his energy

. The way it goes, I could see a future rivalry between Fan Zhendong and Liang Jingkun at post Zhang Jike vs Ma Long era.

Can't believe it. Zhang Jike was leading 9:6 in 3rd set and 10:6 in 4th set against Liang Jingkun, and he eventually lost both sets. After the match, Liu Guoliang pointed out that he was not focused.
