Has anyone tried the DHS D40+ 1 star balls? and are they any different from the 3 stars

Seems pretty cheap at 3 dollars for a pack of 10 at my place so wanted to ask if anyone can compare them with the 3 stars

I remember them as being unreliable and too soft.
