Yes, this is good. Saive is a great player and athlete: I think he would fit.

Yeah this would be great. The way the plastic ball transition was handled was disastrous. The balls were just not there yet and in many cases are still not there yet.

If I as an amateur player am getting frustrated at the quality of the balls, I wonder how the pros must have felt.

The current guy is ok but was closely associated with Sharara. Time for a clean break. Saive would be that

For some reason, the way ITTF politics works, I don't think he has a chance. I say this not because I know anything about ITTF politics, but because I know about chess politics and FIDE officials have bribed so many small nations that it is hard to get those smaller nations to vote for good candidates who haven't bribed them.

If Saive became President I wonder how much influence he would have anyways?

I would lean towards an actual professional player who has played in professional tournaments around the world, rather than a suit who has spent most of his career in an office.
