It is evident from the main draw that Ma Long losing to Chuang has something to do with him having to play Xu Xin in the Semi-Finals instead of the finals. The Chinese team will probably not be too happy about that.

Not at all. In this way they wont get 1st and 2nd. What do you guys think that is in the head of Liu Guoliang? Who does he want to win in the semi final Ma Long or Xu Xin? Xu Xin has not lost any game while Ma Long has already. It might be a dilemma because they want Ma Long to win the world cup but what if Ma Long beats Xu Xin but loses the final. I really hope this does not happen but those might be some of things that Liu might be thinking...

I recall that Ma Long lost to Samsonov or Boll before in the world cup final...

But Chuang did got his new improves backhand flick, and Ma Long seems like unable to response to it effectively. It is so rare that Samsonov cho all the way in quarter final lol

Ma Long just dominated that semi-final against Xu Xin. Some amazing shots there. Feel sorry for Xu Xin though, he should've been in the final if Ma Long didn't lose to Chuang. But oh well, really looking forward to Ma Long-Boll!
