T2APAC makes me wonder if this system would actually be quite good for professional leagues. You would need to have consistent time rulings though. Or you always play 5 sets and it could go 3:2 or 5:0, allowing for epic comebacks AND making it more of a team effort. You can't just have a Timo Boll securing 2 points and win you most games by default

Boll wins you most games by default in any league except CTTSL. Time rulings are a bit tough, but that makes T2 unique. And it gives the whole tournament a tempting scent to watch it.

JSH still got it, but he feels a bit old now unfortunately. A younger JSH would have had no problem dealing with Ovtcharov

I don't know about that. I can't remember Dima losing to Joo in any match I have watched.

I wonder how Timo dominates Harimoto so easily in this league but in the World Tour he struggled and lost.

I agree, this Boll is almost an entirely different player, showing even more eagerness to take the initiative than Harimoto. Outstanding.

I wonder how Timo dominates Harimoto so easily in this league but in the World Tour he struggled and lost.

Look at the amount of unforced errors made by Harimoto and compare to his unforced errors in the world tour (TTZoom analysed that match). You will see Harimoto made much-much more unforced errors here. Boll has a consistent level, while Harimoto is unstable mentally.
