I've suggested to Dan, since he'll visit China, why don't he ask some valueable tips from players & coaches how to improved his TT
skills. What are Dan's weaknesses and ask them to pinpoint and he can share with us thru here.

Beside, can you ask XX some tips about service and receiving. As for service, player like Boll/Ma Lin etc able create so much spin.
What's the secret behind? The whole technique - waist, wrist, legs etc.

Thank you and enjoy this golden opportunity ya and don't miss out any single moments.

Well done Dan!!

Some questions (don't ask the coach)
Ask the player - about the new "number of player" per country allowed in Olympics, WTTC etc

Ask the players how they feel, and if there see if there is any unfairness towards them, and how it will affect the future of table tennis from a Chinese perspective.

I'm not sure if the players can give a honest reply, maybe more a neutral/diplomatic reply...

It's actually a great idea for you to ask them about holes in your technique. Timo Boll wrote in his book that a match against the top Chinese was more important than hours of training because they would let him know of whatever weakness he had by exploiting it relentlessly. Europe's players and his training partners and even he wouldn't find the weaknesses that they did.

I have a few questions for you Dan. Take whichever ones you like :)

For the players:

1. Whose serves do you find the most difficult to receive?

2. How do you condition yourself mentally to play under such intense pressure?

3. What technical advances do you foresee over the next 10 years?

4. Is the Chinese domination more about tactics than technical skill?
I ask this question because Ma Long posted on his Facebook that he struggled in the first two sets against Apolonia I think 12-10 and 11-9 and won the last set 11-1 because he was unfamiliar with him and therefore needed to find the right tactics. Werner Schlager also said in Timo Boll's book that he once found a USB that had all of this patterns at different situations and their probabilities listed. They knew him better than he knew himself so that Paris 2003 had no chance of happening again. Another part of the book was that Boll found Xu Xin playing shakehand and copying Boll's serves and backhand while warming up with ZJK before ZJK played against him in 2011.

5. Why is Timo Boll closer to the Chinese compared to other non-Chinese players? He at least gives a fight and on occasion, wins.

6. How do you think that the new balls will affect international table tennis?

7. Are you considering opening the doors of the Chinese training halls for International players for short occasions?

8. Who is your favourite player?

Glad you like the photos and thanks everyone i'm having such a surreal, awesome experience. I'm doing my best updating you all just struggling to connect to the internet.

Day 2 has been great. Fan Zhendong chose a winner for the TTD STIGA signed Carbonado 190 competitiom which we will announce in the upcoming documentary. I was allowed to have a match in the training centre of the National A squad where a STIGA China representative challenged me. The conditions of the practice hall were out of this world.

I had lunch with Xu Xin and Fan Zhendong which was awesome. we visited the Province Beijing Club where the Chinese Super League team train, was really cool the same club Ma Long grew up in. I challenged a 13 year old in match who is ranked top 5 in China under 13. Ill upload the video when I can, it was good fun. One thing that has been so clear so far is the players work rate, it is so intense and focussed. Each player from the National team and the Province Beijing team always focus on the basics no matter which level their at.

After,we visited it a local club in Beijing which we had a lot of laughs in. Everyone was friendly and all wanted to challenge me and Felix for a game.

I will upload day 2 photos shortly and videos when I can :)

Hey Dan,

if you have the chance to get a chinese national jersey or a training shirt from Li Ning say how much money do you want and I will pay it.

Do you have an oppurtunity to buy or get shirts? I would pay :)
The best would be a shirt from Ma Long. Show him my tributes to him. Than it should be no problem :)

I'm very interested in the videos!

Hey Dan, maybe you could ask some slightly offbeat questions to pluck out something of the players personalities...

What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself ?
What is the best thing you ever bought ?
What do you do when you don't play TT ?
What does Chinese scrabble look like ?
A good book, or a good party ?
The empire state building, or the London eye ?
Integrity or wealth ?
Can you do the Rumgay ?
Who is your favourite actor ?
Point at/tell me the most arrogant player in the team ?
Point at/tell me the most attractive player in the team ?
Point at/tell me the hardest working player in the team ?
What would you do if you arrived at a training session without your training shoes and nobody could lend you any ? (private :) )
etc.

suck the marrow Dan.
