That is my favorite edge tape. Works perfectly!

Transparent edge tape, Carl? :) I think you need to reglue a bit. :)

Indeed, you are correct. I will never use Xiom glue again. I have actually had it separate 4 times and the rubber is only on since the beginning of September.

The good thing about Xiom glue, it is easy to remove! The bad thing about Xiom glue, it is easy to remove!!!!

I also use 12mm Tibhar, it has a good price, decent quality and you can reuse it multiple times, not like the plastic tape from Butterfly that desintegrates and melts with the wood

The adhesive is a little bit strong, ripping some tiny chunks off the sponge, so beware. Its color fades a bit after a couple of months, that sucks but I try not to think about it :(.

Baal recommended to me a plain tape that is sold on Amazon. Protects the blades and the rubbers. I bought two $10 Rolls and I now tape blades for free for friends because I am never going to run out. The tapes are reusable and transferable. If I get home and use a PC, I will post a link. Or Baal might just post it himself.

I just use whatever tape I can get my hands on at the time.

The only reason I started using it in the first place was to hide the overhang of my rubbers to umpires after I glued up!

I use something called gaffer's tape that I get from Amazon in a variety of cool colors. Sticks great, provides excellent protection, is cheap, and doesn't leave residue behind when you remove it.

Lots of other places carry it too.

I bought one in black and one in red maybe 7 months ago or so - one of my smartest purchases in TT ever.
