W968 vs W968 -6 basically i know the core is thicker but iv never seen a review and seeing ma long backhand is alot stronger i figure he is using it now?

Ma Long still uses the National version of W968, not the W968-6 version with thicker core.

Forget this blade. IMHO, W968 has more than enough power for all levels.

New HL5 is HL5X which has official number 968-6, thicker core thickened 0.5mm, and thinner top ply. Google search ‘dhs HL5X’ or '新版狂飙龙5X' for more information.

and to think ma longs power is alot more with that little change

I honestly think ML's enhanced BH comes from training, not from the equipment. One of the articles reported ML was inspired by the movie Green Book when he returned from injury, so he went back to using the blade he used to win 2016 Rio Olympic gold. If this is true, then it debunks any claim that ML's improved BH is the result of using a new W968-6 blade.

Another reason both XX and ML are improving their BH might be they cannot move as fast as they used to, so they have to rely more on BH to win points now.
