Hi Guys,

I need help to chose a new rubber.

Currently I am playing with Tibhar MX S in 2.0 on forehand (BH medium Pips, Blade is a Viscaria Light inspired rebuilt). I really have issues with overshooting because of the bouncy nature of the rubber. And MX S is already a relative unbouny rubber for ESN standard.

As my forehand stroke is quite long and has a good amount of body in it, I would like to try some sticky rubber.

I already tried these new hybrids, but I think I would benefit more from a really sticky rubber than these in between type of rubber.

If the rubber doesn't need boosting it's a plus, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if a layer or two is needed.

A sponge in the 48 to 50 degree hardness on esn scale would be fine, but I am overwhelmed by the amount of rubbers out there.

My playing level is 1650 TTR in Germany, might be converted to 1900 ish USATT (?)

Thanks for your help!

Yinhe - Big Dipper, Giant Dragon - TopEnergy Soft/Hard, LOKI - GTX Pro, Sanwei - Target 90. These are more or less tack and easy to play Chinese rubbers.

729 - Battle III, LOKI - N80, DHS - Hurricane 9 Blue/Pink are nice Chinese rubbers as well, but also a bit easier than H3 or STN.

Do you reccomend Loki GTX pro out of the package? Or do you mean its Easy to play boosted?

Thank you for all your suggestions.

There is almost zero Players in my club using Hybrid or Chinese rubbers (besides from our top Defender who uses Globe 999 since forever - has played Bundesliga in the 80s, is 65+ years old and is still the second strongest player at my club).

I'll guess I'll start with Battle 2 Provincial + Flaco Booster (which I already own) to get a taste If I like Chinese Rubber or not.

Maybe I'm strange, but I really like Hurricane 3, Loki N-80, Jupiter 3. Everyone plays differently, but I like it. But I don't like Big Dipper. I find it slow and soft. Maybe this is a problem with me?
No, these three rubbers are quite different from Big Dipper. Maybe Loki N80 is the closest to BD.
