I dont expectTT to grow, people simply cannot understand it because its far more complex than basketball base ball or soccer. And it is a noble sport, people love intrigue,fights,bigmouth statements and violence.

Intrigue gives a temporary growth like sweden vs china, the chinese have also stopped watching because china has no serious rival now. Same thing happened to chess in the 70's where the us citizens got to a chess frenzy because of bobby fischer was competing the russians.

And of course there is the money issue, table tennis is far too difficult to be a master and competitive and it simply does not pay well if you are not a top50 player . Semi professional players in 2nd or 3rd division of a european country with soccer tradition get more money than a professional player in TT. More people watching, thus more sponsors thus bigger money pool

England has probably the best story this WTTTC! Newly promoted, finished third in their group, and they're now into the semi-finals! Truly inspirational stuff from the Englishmen!

Call me crazy, but I'll wager England will put up a helluva fight against Japan, and maybe even face China in the finals.
With their insane fighting spirit, I think they can pull a Fang Bo and book a place in the finals.

I certainly hope so and so does Zhang Jike . But seriously , it will be great to see England beat Japan, the only bad thing it will be starting at 3:30 night my time , don't know if I am going to last that late. Its time enough when we deserve to see a final different from China - Japan or China - Germany , if we can't change one name on the final lets hope at least the challenger changes may be that is the key to increasing the popularity of the sport who knows ... I am eternally hopeful

His blad looks really good, and kind of yellow. And both rubbers look blue, it could be Bluefire or Airoc perhaps...?

Do you think it really matters? He plays really decent. His control and strategy is great playing softer then all other players.
