Yes, to me these are the key takeaways also. Excited to see where that goes; too early to tell of course, but early signs point at a structural strengthening of the JNT, in both depth and breadth, relative to the rest. Not that the rest is standing still; the CNT seems very agile and capable of rapid development (wonder how the recent LGL/KLH/CYH turmoils will affect this), but the JNT just might be burning at an even faster rate now. Interesting times, as the ancient curse has it.

HARIMOTO is the new Hero !!!! together with KIZUKIRI they just beat FAN Zhendong and XU Xin

incredible !! what a fantastic match...

and FAN Zhendong was very fair play to give the edge ball to the Japanese as the referees didn't see anything

for those who don't know him, KIZUKURI was a member together with HARIMOTO and MATSUYAMA of the team who won the World Team Junior Championships and he won the Junior National Championships this year for the second year in a row. He will turn 18 in October

Quite a achievement for JNT, securing both gold and silver for mens double.

A really pressure on CNT from both on and off the table. A new level of challenge.

Glad to see Japan upping their game. Even as a Chinese, I hate to see China vs China in almost every final.

Hopefully Europe will raise their player standard as well.

Shouting and cheering only helps the sport, but its more the squeeky voices constantly shouting the same two or three words thats killing my nerves lol
