Did anyone here even heard that kind of scream from Ma Long before at the end??? Well for me, i never heard that. Maybe that was the scream from the first round loss.

I think it was a scream of relief and frustration. He clearly regretted his loss. As why of now, if you look at the whole match, you can see that it definitely wasn't a cake walk. Zheng Peifeng played really well. Ma Long overcame the challenge and shouted to the whole world that he still has it. All the people expressing their doubt about him after he performed a bit less in TWO matches (against FZD 4-0 loss and now 3-1 against a "nobody") clearly was affecting him more than it maybe should.

In that scream, you could also hear the desire that Ma still possesses to compete, to stretch himself further and to overcome setbacks and struggles such as this one. One would be foolish to claim that Ma is going on the path of ZJK. Same as saying that FZD is going to run over him as of now. The two will still play matches right down to the wire, but we all have to acknowledge that eventually age will catch up to Ma and Fan will still grow in his game and play on an even higher level than he does now. SO, enjoy the fact that Ma is still here to provide some opposition. I don't think that ZJK and XX can give FZD a challenge atm. ZJK is not playing here, so it will be interesting to see how he fairs when he does return. As for XX, FZD simply has the power advantage and the BH advantage. XX will have to play his utter best to beat him, which makes it this more exciting.

As for the level of play, is it just me or are this year the matches even better than the last couple of years? I am really gasping at the class of some of the younger Chinese players. SOOOO much talent here, it's ridiculous.
