New announcement from T2 to "change the game"

"Huge announcement coming soon! This will change the shape of table tennis! Stay tuned!"

Now, we already know about the deal with ITTF, so what will this be? And do we want to change the shape of table tennis? To what, oval, triangle....?

This is a joint T2 and ITTF announcement. Frank Ji and Steve Dainton are playing doubles in Vegas with "2nd of July t-shirts"... It might be a number of things: Including T2 in the world tour, expanding T2 to other leagues, or even trying out some (more) of the format in ITTF tournaments (kill zone, timing, no deuce and so on...)... We'll see...

Maybe their new concept is to have women and men compete vs each other.

Slightly larger table and slightly higher net. Introduce 38mm ball at the same time.

The larger table and higher netwill increase the chance of long rally. The 38mm ball will bring back the former glorious table tennis - fast and spinny rally.

I wonder if a larger table will indeed bring more long rallies. A longer table certainly will, but a wider one - good players might just wreck each other with some ridiculous angles. Especially those practicing all the more popular close to the table style.

Do you mean Seamaster?

I'm scared that they change the rules again. Change the marketing, change the video quality and the video angle, change the team format maybe but don't change the rules of the game.
