On one hand you have Ukrainians who actually first hand experienced horrors of this war and continue to experience them on a daily basis. On the other hand, you have people so brainwashed by russian propaganda that they literally deny the lived experience of Ukrainians and see absolutely nothing wrong with telling them what is actually happening in their country
I guess we are all influenced by some kind of propaganda. Nobody denied the experience people from the ukraine have made. Some people who have put in an effort to not only trust one source but rather get multiple angles might have compared the different narratives and followed whos narrative has more flaws and has proven to be wrong or misleading more often than not. If you say the western narrative and the same media that spread lies to people to justify the world several wars (i.e. lies before NATOs yugoslavia war, iraqi weapons of mass detruction...) is the one to trust, then that is your pick and it will affect your life.
Again, nobody denies whatmwas experienced, we just have very different conclusions about the background, the motives and the people controlling it . Nobody denies that ukrainians were hard done by.
Having experienced something does not make you automatically know why things happened. You just know what youngot told.
If we would kidnap a 20 year old chinese person he also would tell us what he experienced in china, but he also would have very interesting explanations for what he experienced, but these would be the propaganda of the Chinese Communist party and these explanations would be vastly different to what we as westerners would think of his experiences and reasons behind it.
Would you claim that the reasoning of the chinese communist party line would be the total truth because somebody from china experienced it themselves and then was given this narrative?
