Do you guys think it will play similar to the Clipper wood?
I have read good things about the Eternity and I love the look of the handle. But I need to keep my promise and not spend any more money on new blades this year.... Do you guys think it will play similar to the Clipper wood?
infinity 83g-6.0mm, and the eternity 94g-6.3mm. how does 10 grams get in .3mm? Arn't they basically the same?
In some ways, yes, but you have to try it for yourself to know.

It seems you have a lot to learn about blades and wood. I have two Viscarias. One is 80 grams. One is 98 grams. Its the same blade. No difference in plies, in ply thickness. Where did the other 18 grams come from?
thats crazy. same blade, 18 gram difference? i wish could find an infinity at 88-90g

But, you should know, when a blade of the same make is heavier, it will have better feeling. For example, a Viscaria that weighs 92 grams will feel way better than a Viscaria that weighs 80 grams. What is an optimal blade weight for your strokes? That depends on a lot of things. But most people who are decently in shape can handle 88-92 grams. But a place like Paddle Palace, if you call them and ask them to give you weights for the blade you are buying, they will. You can find whatever weight you want that way.
Another thing to know about blade weight, If I play with my racket for a few hours, it does gain some weight from the sweat of my hand. Der_Echte's racket gains more weight than mine because I don't sweat too much. But the point is, a racket's weight is not a constant quantity. It actually changes. After I play and I leave my racket out so the handle dries, it weighs a little less than it did right after I finished playing. 2 or 3 grams of sweat sounds like a reasonable number to me for the amount I sweat. 8-12 grams for someone who really sweats a lot and has a handle that gets really wet. Water weighs more than you think.
16 oz of water = 1 lb
.5 liter of water = .5 kg
If your racket handle absorbs 1 fluid oz of water, that is the equivalent of 28 grams. But one fluid oz is a lot. One fluid oz is 0.03 Liter or 6 teaspoons. When the table is wet with drips of your sweat, how many teaspoons of sweat have seeped into the wood of your handle?

You just have to call a supplier and ask if they have any in your weight range. I don't know of any legit suppliers that won't try to help you out with that kind of search. It is in their best interest to help you. I did that with Paddle Palace with several blades. They were a great help.

what? you don't sweat. i turn into aqua man after 20 min.![]()
Hands that don't sweat when playing?! You are either magical with awesome genes, or not playing a game with high physical requirements.

I could second this statement. The staff from paddle palace contacted me immediately after the specific weight I asked for the IF ZLC wasn't available. They listed the weights of all the blades that are in stock (IF ZLC ST) and waited until I made my decision.
So I placed an order for this blade one day ago on tabletennis11.com and the order is still processsing, is this normal? Does any of you have ordered from there?

Don't worry about it. It's normal. If they had an issue like it being backordered or something they would email you. They have great customer service.
