I don't know what you are trying to say here. Everyone in the same bucket? You mean the restrictions for too many starters from one country? That would hurt everyone. Chinese fans would get bored even harder cause most are chinese, non chinese fans get bored because most are chinese.
This would mean we would have way less players that can make a living out of table tennis and increasing this problem even further
You are making assumptions that make no sense. Chinese fans will not like having more Chinese players? Have you seen the Chinese Super League? Even with the heat turned off in the middle of winter, there are still large and growing crowds. And the games are amazing to watch, even with the forty unknown-in-the-west players, each one unique to watch. And the non-Chinese fans would not like more Chinese? Again, have you seen the Super League players? These are not minor league amateurs. These are among the top 100 players in the world. And so what if they became ranked in the top 100, it would be bringing these amazing players into the limelight they deserve. Right now the national distribution of the top 100 is crazily imbalanced. There are almost zero Chinese players from number 100 to number 10, a pure bureaucratic fake list, invented by ITTF to hide just how serious Table Tennis is in China. If you are saying we should stop the Chinese level of play at the international level, I say instead it is up to the non-Chinese countries to raise their level, and that lies mainly with the Table Tennis companies like Stiga, Butterfly, Tibhar, Joola, who can raise their involvement if they want to. And with the non-Chinese school systems that need to raise their involvement. The problem does not lie with the over-involvement of Chinese fans and schools and government. In my opinion, Table Tennis should be revered in the whole world, not just China.
