Why are J-pen rackets so expensive?

I never knew about how wonderful it is to play with a one-ply-hinoki blade until
I play again with my old five ply all wood blade. After the comparison I made up my mind; never shall I go back to multiple layer all-wood blade again.

It is the same with a seven ply all wood blade. It is stiff and does not have the catapult feel of a one-ply-hinoki.
🙂👍👍👍👏

I would guess that carbon jpen isn't big anymore because there aren't many super high Level jpen players anymore.

You can of course play a carbon jpen but most people who Still play jpen do it for enjoyment or because it is cool and different (I.e like the hipsters who ride fixed gear bikes:)). And if you do that you want the full original experience and then go for 1 ply.

But there are still cheap carbon jpen blades out there like this one

Ich habe gerade diesen erstaunlichen Artikel auf AliExpress gefunden. Probiere ihn aus! 30,46€ 20%OFF | Original YINHE 986 Carbon Tischtennis Klinge (Korea Typ Schnelle Angriff) japanischen Penhold JS Griff Schläger Ping Pong Bat Paddel

Or 1 ply blades like this

I wonder, is there any significant difference in terms of feeling between the original Kiso-Hinoki, China Cypress or American Cypress ( Hinoki )?
