Okay, so I will add mine:
Ma Long 4-2 Timo Boll - Timo will lose first game very fast, he will probably not even notice what happened.. Then he will fight back with game or two, but lose..
Yan An 4-1 Wang Hao - Yan An will fight like hell, Wang Hao will try some tricks, but I think Yan An is too fast, so he will win..
Zhang Jike 4-2 Patrick Baum - When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Zhang is the tough one, so he will probably lose game or two, then turn up and win.
Xu Xin 4-0 Kenta Matsudaira - Xu Xin will go through this match pretty easy I expect..


The problem that I think Ma Long will not win the tournament, is Zhang Jike.
I dont think that anyone will be able to beat him. Everytime he loses a little, he raises his game to hights that we have never seen. I hate him, but he is just amazing, I have to admit that. Ma Long probably wont make it into finals, if Yan An keeps up his form, he will probably take him out in semifinals..
That will be pretty interesting match.. I saw it today with Koki Niwa, Ma Long still has some mental issues, still couldnt be up to 100% all the time, made som uncharracteristic mistakes, well .. if he can sort this out, he will beat even Yan An, but I am really not sure about Zhang Jike..
Really, look at his game.. He starts at some level.. suddenly he loses.. what happened against Gardoš set 3? He was down after losing a set.. suddenly his game went up.. then up.. even more up.. unstopable..
I dont know how and who will be able to stop this.. maybe noone..
I really wish Ma Long wins the tournament, but I am not sure after what I have seen..

I won't make predictions on scores. I think ZJK could win 4-0 if he shows up. He won't. He won't be taking Patrick Baum as a serious threat and will lose a few games before he wakes up and finishes it. The next round he will take seriously when he plays Xu Xin.

But for you Wang Hao and Ma Long fans, there is something to be afraid of. Yan An looked like a beast today against Chuang Chih-Yuan. I think Yan An will beat Wang Hao and if Yan An loses to Ma Long, it could be close and could be the match of the tournament. Yan An's style matches pretty well against Ma Long. And Ma Long had more trouble than he should have against Koki Niwa.

Well, I am prepared to eat my words. Wang Hao's experience, game tactics, intelligence and short game were too much for Yan An today. But, Yan An had a darn good tournament.
