I have a friend who, after seeing the quarter finals said ZJK would get no more than 5 in each game vs ML. ZJK was not play well this tournament. And hasn't been playing well since the German open last spring.

Wow, ZJK made a come back. But, I think Yoshima yuya is the best upcoming player from Japan. Yes, ZJK is out of form but he shows some willigness to win in this tournament. When he has got his mental fortitude under control, nothing is out of reach

ma long is ahead 2-1 clearly in better shape than zhang but zhang plays smarter not going all out probably to prevent an injury. It seems he has figured out how to outsmart ma long and being more unpredictable than him. Ma long will win probably, he is more stable today, zhang makes lots of unforced errors although he takes the initiative most of the time

too many unforced errors from zhang. ma long fans will probably hate me for saying this... but it seems that zhang feels very comfortable against ma even when he is losing, the opposite does not happen ma is still weak mentally when the score is tight. at 6th set ma has blundered two match points already, he still chokes when he is about to win, he just thinks too much and does not play freely
