It's confirmed. WYD has trouble dealing with low-pace and spinny shots that she often whiffs (especially on those with sidespin that curve to her BH). That loophole became very noticeable after 0-3 Hirano at WTTC 2024.
Polcanova popped up the no-spin serve at 109 (there were 2 or 3 points before that) and didn't turn to chiquita until 1011.

Moregard was lucky his "creativity" worked in his favor at WTTC 2021.

Felix is so hard to play for similar reasons to why Wang Chuqin is hard to play (leftiness aside), maybe even more extreme - low trajectory topspins close to the table so the arc doesn't betray the spin on the ball until you get used to it. Wild stuff.

Would love to see Hirano win over WMY tomorrow. But even if she doesn't win, I hope she gets at least 1 game. China is really targeting her. Ever since beating WYD 3-0 at 2024 WTTTC, she has not scored a single game against the top 4: SYS 3-0, CM 4-0 and 3-0, WYD 3-0.

He can easily go by as injured, he’s been in tapes in the last couple tournaments and it’s CNT, so they can do the paperwork. He’s also more careful because of the upcoming Olympics team event
