And even in soccer, Romario was a chain smoker, there are exceptions, the most important thing is whether your performance is up to par or not. The point is not to advocate for complacency, the point is to be the best version of yourself, not the best version of some abstract standard dictated by someone who knows nothing about what you do or how you train or someone who is willing to disregard your history dealing with fitness while still maintaining levels of success that most of the world can only dream of.
