Does anybody know the ranking system rules for example then Dima started to play vs ZJK in Polish Open but after few points he withdraw a match. I see the result is:

0-4: ZHANG Jike

2-11,0-11,0-11,0-11,-,-,-

And near dima is written "injured"

So does this match counts to world ranking or not?

Mattias KARLSSON is now 53 (74 before) Also a great jump after beating YAN An :D

It does count, as you can see here (http://ittf.com/ittf_ranking/WR_Table_1_wins.asp?Player_ID=110553&Month1=11&Year1=2015&).

I am not sure what Dima did to get into the #4 slot but that is the first time a player not from CNT was in the top four in a long time. Timo Boll 2011 or 2012. Does anyone remember when the last time Timo was higher than 5? In 2011 he was #1 for a while. But he got there by not playing rather than by winning so it was strange. But he deserved #2 or 3 and was there for a while. There was a long period where, in almost every Pro Tour event (they now call it "World Tour" but back then they called it "Pro Tour") he came in second to Wang Hao, Ma Long or Ma Lin.

This can be explained. Dima got many points by winning last previous month European Championships, so he was only few points behind ZJK. Now last month he got many points getting 3rd place in World Cup where ZJK did not take part.

I like the older players such as Zoran Primorac, J├Ârgen Persson. Todays players has to little finess when playing just power.

If Zhang Jike does not perform well soon, Jun Mizutani will eventually overtake him

I would love to see Dimitrij Ovtcharov somehow reach number 3 spot in his career. Do you think its possible?

He has already beaten ZJK last year, and i think if he plays focused he's got a chance against xu xin (on a bad day.... and only if he stops moaning like sharapova)
;)
But the other two are in a different league... IMHO
