I think XX still remembers how he stole the match from Mizutani while loosing 10:4 in the final set. He was leading 10:3 with Ma Long and lost it. Anybody know bigger advantage?

Honestly, I think Xu Xin needs a vacation and a mental reset atm. He's in a bad mental circle, and the spark has left him.
He can still play well.. obv set 3 proved that, but 10-3 to loss should not happen, it's those short "jet bursts of good play".
Probably about his own motivation. I think most would be broken down a bit after what happened in the Olympics... but it's important to not let yourself feed that bad part of your mentality. You could risk ending up like Ma Lin did...

He has to be all kinds of mind F-ed right about now.

I've got to imagine within the super league when he's playing his opponents that they're coming at him with greater confidence now believing more & more they can win. The shine has worn off on this star.

Though he did have some unfortunate events that came his way the last years of his career.. apart from losing in some important tournaments. do some research.

Sad day for Shanghai. Shang Kun was so close to accomplish the mission impossible but failed at the last moment. Can't believe XX suffer another big choke after Rio. One bigger choke I remember was RSM vs Steger in the semi of 2010 Grand Final who loss a set after leading 10:2.
