New Year, New Blade

So here we go again! I was watching the CTTSL game with Tianjin vs. Ningbo and I noticed that Ma Long has change his blade again! Definitely not the same handle as his DHS 506 PG3 prototype.

Hurricane Long 3, an advertisement in a TT magazine

It is now official! DHS has just announced the new Hurricane Long 3 coming this year. Same structure as Hurricane Long 2 so it is indeed another 7 ply wood blade. Besides the change of handle colour there is also modification on adhesive used.

Could definately well be. Some tape is covering a blade of some kind

Haha that is what I was thinking Tim, when you are one of the best players in the world, why would you change, Maybe he got bored. What ever blade it is, it seems to have worked as defeated he Hao Shuai 3-0. Give Ma Long any blade he will play amazing!

We have to wait for the first World Tour but often I think the chinese players are not interested in CTTSL, always quit, no cho and the matches are often not very exciting

Some Yasaka blades have a handle which looks pretty much like the handle in the picture, but none really fits to the picture

Maybe he only borrowed it? Maybe because of unsuspected reasons he couldn't play with his own so he took another one. Just guessing, we should see if he plays again with it at the final.

True! Perhaps he is just finding the right combination so he is ready for the upcoming 2013 World Championships!

A noteworthy point is what grip cool is blue and has yellow line.
Maybe it's hurricane hao series,but blade is white,so blade is different ruket.
Ma long's blade is always secret.
Viscaria is completely different.
Hurricane long 2 is more different(this grip is brown).

I want more clear pictures.

Seems like a Hurricane Hao of some kind alright. In one of video matches I notice a black lense with chinese writing, so imo it is a DHS blade some kind. But as Christian stated is it his primary blade or just one he borrowed?

Absolutely that very well looks like a Hurricane Hao handle (blue and yellow), but when I was watching the video a couple of hours ago, I noticed red plies characteristic of the Clipper and PG7. So he may have customised it or had one made especially for him.

how is the hurricane III national bluesponge working?
is there a big difference with commerciaul ?
enough to justify the cost of 1 national rubber = 8 commercial rubbers?
