Well even Ma Long, Zhang Jike & Timo Boll have withdrawn, it's still gonna be an amazing journey!!
Can't wait!!!
It starts tomorrow *.*

Little off-topic: When do the World Championships occur? :>

World Championships are beginning March 25, ending on April 1st.
They're being held in Germany this year, so should draw a good crowd.

Don't think Wang Hao, xu xin, or ma lin will show either, saw them going to the training camp with ma long and zhang jike.

Yeah I saw that to, however Wang Hao just had a status saying he is boarding :).. I'm presuming he is boarding a flight to Qatar :)

Just finished watching Live Streaming of qualification round, Alexey Liventsov vs Mihae Bobocica.
It was a full on match going to 7 sets, with many great points, including the last point!
For any who are interested, the match should be available on ITtv soon.
Really hope this one gets on YouTube ;)

I just checked the Main draw and.. there can be several interesting matches going on..
first of all round 1:
Kenji Matsudaira vs. Vladimir Samsonov.. Samsonov has to proove himself, his form is not great lately and this Japanese is quite good..
Kishikawa vs. Ruwen Filus, german defender.. too bad not streamed..
Crisan vs. Štetinin.. omg would love to see that one!
Chuang-Chih Yuan vs. Legout .. ou yeah!
Tiago Apolonia vs. Simon Gauzy .. cant really bet on that one!
Chen Weixing vs. Jean Michel Saive can be pretty damn good too!
Monteiro vs. Smirnov!
Habesohn vs. Mizutani!

And without any upsets there are another possible matches, like:
Joo Se Hyuk vs. Chen Weixing .. cant really imagine how that would look like!
Ning Gao vs. Christian Suss
Robinot vs. Koki Niwa
Mizutani vs. Ryu Seung Min
Baum vs. Ma Lin
Tokic vs. Persson, Tokic vs. Chuang Chih Yuan
Ovtcharov vs. Crisan, Ovtcharov vs. Kishikawa
Samsonov vs. Wang Hao
Ovtcharov vs. Wang Hao..
Many possibilities.. on a good matches :)

Ovtcharov vs. Joo Se Hyuk can be quite interesting if it happens.

Ha.. Just like I said.. Samsonov had a tough time beating Kenji Matsudaira 4:3 (14-16,9-11,9-11,11-7,11-7,11-5,11-8), but credits to him to come back from 0:3 down..
Kishikawa LOST to Ruwen Filus, surprise surprise!!!
Crisan without any problems with Štetinin..
Chuang 4:0 beat Legout, too bad it was not closer match..
Apolonia beat Gauzy 4:1, I also expected it to be closer,..
Weixing beat easy Saive 4:0, that is also unexpected, but seems that Weixing is in a good form :)
