I think that Scosz played a lot of crazy shots in the previous games. Putting all 110% in the strokes that somehow landed. That cannot last for too long.

actually those counter FH attacks seem crazy but are not, szocs is expecting dima's diagonal attacks, whenever dima changed tempo and placement, szocs didnt know how to react

What a relief... Dima started falling back into the old habits in the end, I am happy that he pulled through. He showed that he can play very well.

Wong Chung Ting tumbles once again but he is yet to be beaten

Hunor's backhand was on fire. It looked like a throwback to Dima's loss to Jacub Dias when he was suddenly overpowered on the BH diagonal.

dima is so good when he actually calms down and thinks a bit that he pisses me off when playing so stubbornly and tilting, insisting on overpowering every shot. he is so damn good when he varies his play and I strongly believe he can beat anyone when playing like this. I guess he still hasnt found his "in the zone" spot and how to reach out for it and stay in there consistently and when things go wrong keep calm and try another approach to get into the zone again this is what makes champions in the end of the day imho

LGY 2:2 ACHANTA . Looks like rest of world has caught up to the chinese.

LGY destroyed him in the next two, especially the last, 4-2 is not actually catching up especially when LGY has made tons of unforced errors, looking forward to ding ning vs hirano as you said. Hirano is so much fun to watch, ding ning's play is boring

Agree with you. 2:2 scoreline mad me a bit worked up after ZJK 's upset. I expected that one anyway. ZJK is a fading star. He got beaten by another Korean Jang woojin as well previously and Koreans planning was good. Nonetheless Achanta is a fun guy to watch.

Apart from that there has been no 'real' Chinese upset. Hoping Miu can spearhead tmw. Harimoto is lurking dangerously as well and can cause huge trouble for XX or LGY if he reaches quarters.

Shibaev already on a yellow card? What did the rascal do this time?

I think it was the end of the third game when he kicked the ball out of the court in frustration. Instead of handing in to the umpire.
