In looking at the draw in the men's comp, I am going to assume that the teams were seeded like this:

1) China
2) Germany
3) Japan
4) Korea

Otherwise China would be playing Japan instead of Korea. How did Korea get seeded behind Japan? Isn't Korea stronger than Japan? I am guessing that when Korea and Japan go head to head for 3rd place Korea wins.

Nope, it was almost certainly Kim Kyung Ah versus Wang Yuegu or Li Xiaoxia versus Tie Yana. Then best Men's game was Jun vs Dima.
