He tried his best but sadly he wasn't able to make it to the final.
Anyway its boring to always see XX and ML in the final. From 2012 until now the final of China Opens were always between XX and ML.

Don't know why ZJK is not as strong as two years ago. He surely played the best he can against Xu Xin but lost. He lost 3:0 to Ovtcharov and WTTTC which ML won 3:0. The thing that scares me is he is trying but he can't. Maybe he is getting old.

I don't beliave he is getting old, maybe he is just saturated, but Ma Long and Xu Xin are always hungry for victories

No, he was using RPB - shortcut for Reverse penhold backhand

ML and XX played well. ML was always BH blocking down the line and then when XX ran around to the forehand he BH cross court punchblocked it and when XX returned that ML made a FH drive back to the other side. That was almost every point—XX playing with spin, ML playing with speed an accuracy, making XX run around.

I think the Chinese Association should replace Zhang Jike with Fan Zhendong for the upcoming World-Cup. ML vs. FZD seems to be the much more exciting matchup as of now.
