but.. if we exclude extreme values (Harimoto and Vladi), then we get asia 26.13 europe 28.93 or just 2.8 year difference
of course Asia is younger, as always, but gap isn't so huge

Chuang is not an extreme value?

I think the average value does not provide much information here. There are 8 from the top Asians being 25 or younger and in Europe there are only 2 (Pitchford and Gauzy), which both have a lot of ups and downs.

I didn't really focus on that so I couldn't tell. But Dima's pendulum serve often appears to be illegal and it hardly ever gets called as such.

I don't agree. That was one match and without the injury go Samsonov, Dima would have been far less confused. Dima usually does well vs Vladi.
