Barbora Balážová from Slovakia beat Yu Mengyu from Singapoure 4:3! And she played pretty well, I am happy as I am from Slovakia, yeeeah!

Yu Mengyu still playing? I was recall she anounce her retirement after olympics. Maybe just not right away..

Not sure if Koki Niwa has grown taller. But he certainly needs to become stronger. He takes 3-4 steps sometimes and then gives weak balls to his opponent. He has to attack effectively away from the table also. Only then he has a chance against the Chinese players. Am sure he can challenge the Europeans now. IMO he will definitely be in the semis this tournament.

Wov, I tell you, I have never been a fan of the doubles, but Gardos with Habesohn are pretty damn great!
Just beat the Korean pair, yeah, great match!!!

Watch out for Yuto Muramatsu. He's gonna be a top player I bet. He has a more offensive mind rather than a defensive one, his moves are swift, and his services are tricky because of his motion. He might even win some tournaments after a couple of years. It's as if his pimples are the only reason he chops, but besides that, he's (almost) all-out offensive, especially with his deadly forehand.
