I found out today from Boston Korean TT Assn that I am expected (cough - cough... highly encouraged... cough cough) to participate in this year's NYC Labor Day Korean tourney like I did last year and had a side mission with Carl & PP Holic. So you all might see me in a month's time after all.

Ok, let me clear my busy schedule and hope i can survive the ensuing madness...lol

I really do eat KFC at least twice every month....There are so many places opening up in Queens serving KFC and lot of them are near the Korean TT club. I will use your Korean Language expertise....Maybe we should go to Ham Ji Bach...supposedly the best Korean BBQ in the area.

Yes, but basically all of the good clubs in the city are within 15 minutes (walking) from each other in flushing, so it's one of those.

That is where 42andbackpains plays normally. I met him when I went there to play. It's probably the nicest club in terms of space tables and flooring in the city.

The head coach used to be an international player with victories over all the big time pros. Got him a pretty short fuse explosive little dude. Good to avoid pissing him off.

I think Abe got confused with all the clubs he went to when he went on his tour of TT clubs. 42andbackpains does not want to to play at that club. The guy with the short fuse is Coach Li and his club is NYITTC...He actually played the Korean clubs USATT first sanctioned tournament and was giving the Tournament directors a hard time because of the time scheduling. I will tell you about him when i see you in person...i dont want to spread rumors in public...lol I actually play at NYISC which is about a 10 to 15 minutes drive from the flushing Korean club. Der_Echte and Carl, our club actually has a beer license...hee hee So our club is competitive but can also be very laid back.

We have 2 twelve year old boys juniors in our club that train regularly and are rated around 2000. Also a 16 year old rated around 2450...

Our club is run by Shao Yu and we have 4 coaches around 2500 to 2600

Jishan Liang plays at our club and he is rated 2650 and the Pan Am womens gold medal winner Yue Wu plays here too.

Sorry, i dont want to sound like a commercial...but i will always try to promote my club...always trying to promote the sport and get more club members.

Sorry Abe and yeah they are Nathan and Len. Nathan went to China to train for the summer. They are advancing really fast this summer...Its kinda scary...i wish i was your age again Abe. One of my friends recently joined your club(Chubby asian dude in his late 40s), he usually plays on Tuesday or Weds night and plays classic penhold(No RPB). Go kick his behind for me....lol

I have ZERO intel on which hotel team Boston will be at for the big Korean Only tourney, but write it down, Der_Echte intends to show up Sat mid afternoon and make TT mahem in NYC somewhere and hopes to meetup with maximum number of forum members for a memorable blast. Brace Ur-selves, it is the Labor Day weekend I plan to show up.
