The player in red, I want to say I see him at tourneys and he is prolly closer to 2200 than 2000 if I am right... he doesn't go apeshyt on the 1st BH chance either, a lot of 2000 players don't have that discipline.

If you are in Bay Area, you will see me around a little or a lot depending on where/when you go.

What Happened with Derek H?

Possibly closer to 2200. Probably not much better. Most of the guys look like adult players whose levels have stabilized or soon will, they look like players who trained hard but also have limitations that mean their level won't get much higher, in the same way they look to have strong aspects to their game so their level won't get much lower either.

I gave a rough estimate since I didn't watch too much for a variety of reasons. One being that the poster is probably one of the players in the video and knows the answer to the question already.

Well, he (the poster) is the one in the yellow shirt and black pants in the first vid (and has a purple shirt in the second). His rating is 2100something USATT (maybe ~2150).

There are match play of player A and B on 2nd and 3rd video. It would be hard press to see a 2000~2100 with a better backhand than those two. It's on video so the speed and spin is not revealed but my bet is the quality of each shot is higher than what people might thought.

Their ratings are online, but i am trying to improve my eye test ability. So base on eye test what are the ratings you give them and why?

"I am trying to improve my eye test ability"...."It would be hard press to see a 2000~2100 with a better backhand than those two."

This is out of Seinfeld. :)

One year ago the rating was 1948. :)

I would say, someone with a rating over 2100 for 1 tournament, a rating over 2000 but under 2100 only once also, and the rest under 2000, well that just isn't enough of a track record to say much of anything, especially given there are only 7 tournaments on record.

Still, getting over 2100 within the span of 7 tournaments means you have to be a solid player. But....It is just too funny how this unfolded.

Only watched the first vid. These guys suck. They can't even drill bh-bh consistently. 1750 usatt tops.

I might run into the quoter at a tourney and he may see and feel firsthand such a backhand... He can ask the other mid 2000s players who felt it too and lost.

Carl makes a good point about rating and true or solid stable level.

Der_Echte last year made a similar rating point jump in one tourney.

I was just as concerned as Carl that it could have been good fortune and I wasn't really that level.

1st tourney after had only a couple matches, hard to say. Last tourney, defeated 2 of the 3 low and mid 2000 level players I faced... The way I won and who I faced.. one of them defeated me in a finals last year... and how that BH changed guy's outlook of the match outcome as it got to game 5 told me all I needed to know that I belonged

Still, the Corona no tt for a couple months is gonna dent me, but a month or two and I will be right there again. I've been out of tt before and know what to expect.

I might have played and practiced with the OP in Sacramento once if what I suspect is right... if he is that dude, then dude got some serious wheels on him to get to extreme wide FH.

I never asked if dude posts on forums, just hit.

I can't confirm the credibility, but according to this one, it varies:
https://tabletennis-reference.com/player/search/392
I don't know all the players either.
1. Kazuhiro Yoshimura (QUARTET AFC50 Rubber(Forehand) V>15 Extra V>15 Extra188 Rubber(Backhand) V>15 Extra V>15 Extra)
vs Yukya Uda (Dignics 05 and 80)
2. Yuya Oshima (FORTIUS FT ver.D TENERGY 05 HARD Rubber (Forehand) TENERGY 05 HARD TENERGY 05 Rubber (Backhand) TENERGY 05)
vs Kazuhiro
3. Kenji Matsudaira (QUARTET VFC V>15 Extra Rubber (Forehand) V>15 Extra V>15 Extra Rubber (Backhand) V>15 Extra)
vs Kakeru Sone (I think, translate said sho sone lol) Apolonia ZLC, rubbers don't say, but he seems to be sponsored by Victas.
4. Cadets... translate can't really find who they are cba researching xD

Hope this helped.

This rubber needs to be boosted. Without boost it feels dead. Away from the table you will end up in the net.

Boosting formula using falco tempo long.

1 layer. meh
2 layer, better but still meh. Shots still sometimes weirdly goes to the net.
3 medium/thin layers will result with maximum speed and power.
4 medium/thin layers will result in reduce in speed but increase in control. I feel that at 5th layer it will mush up the rubber so don't put more layer than that.

4 layers was an experiment, if I were to do it again it will be 3 layer on FH and MAAYYYBEE 4 layers on BH.

Pros:

- Extremely spinny, the underspin opening is >>> t05. I would say it's at h3 level. My shots are low and spinny on opening which cause a lot of difficulties to my opponent. The ease of use is also better than h3.

- After boosting the feed back on looping feels great. There's this k-cha-poop sound and the ball will fly like rocket with control, curve, and speed. For a top spin rubber, it feels like a brand new t05 (will get to this later)

- The durability and longevity is INSANE. For t05 after the first week or 2, the top sheet will lose a little of grip and the performance will drop a little. That's why all pros change their t05 after 2 weeks. D05 however, plays like new and i'm 4 months in. I clock in 10hrs / week multi balling hard core practice. My falco tempo long also permanently boosted my dignics as well, the boosting effect did not fade. So I guess as long as the sponge is soften by boosting, D05 is good. Unlike h3 where you got good durability, you need to boost it every 2 weeks. D05 have best of both world, insane durability and a 1 time boost done deal kind of rubber.

cons:

- The short game of this rubber is horrid. Spring sponge X activation take too little effort, as many of the reviewers mentioned. I"m at 2150 level (i improve a lot since i got that rating Nov 2019 btw), pushing short with d05 is a nono. You either flick/bannana or push long. You push short you get punish by players that knows how to flick. Period.

- The serves are spinny. However it's difficult to keep the serve low like h3/t05.
- smashing is terrible. For some reason d05 grips the ball even during smashing so the trajectory is unpredictable.

Conclusion:
Insane durability, great top spin rubber, great opening rubber, good flicking/banana flick rubber, terrible pushing rubber, terrible smashing rubber

I don't even know what to say to a $100 rubber you need to boost to get the best out of it. Of course it's weaknesses will be fixed with the new 09C $100 rubber the Butterfly just released. SMH.

In US you play, you get rating you play events under a certain rating. If you are lucky and live in the bay there are some non sanction team tournaments but those are in a sub-par organized.

From what I heard korean, japan, china, europe all have these leagues and divisions. Can anyone care to explain to me how does it work in each country and how one get assigned to a division and move up/down? Is there a rating or there's ranking each division? Is there a trial to go up a division etc.. etc...?

09c is even harder, might need to use chinese booster or several layers of falco long to make it playable. Even then it will be a very heavy rubber.

I am at a level where I can feel the difference and utilized the advantage of boosted rubber. I should've disclose my level sooner. For normal players, boosting or not doesn't matter.
