I know that YOU think reboosting is a waste of time, you've given your reasons and I respect that. But I've read plenty of H3 threads and listened to many say they reboost and get another 2-3 mths from the rubber. So it is possible for me to decide you are wrong, simply because you don't show the intelligence or have the grace to recognise that other people can experience things differently than you do and that there may be value in accepting that rather than calling everyone an idiot.
In matters of practical experience there is a subjective truth for everyone... even if you don't believe it.
So I've already decided that since there is an obvious benefit in it for some that yeah, I'll probably try it before throwing it out.
H3 provincial Blue are €70 each last I looked, no fn way I'd throw it out without seeing what happens!

If that's been the misunderstanding then I agree, don't remove a rubber that's playing brilliantly.
I am referring to a scenario where the initial boost wears off, which it does by the way, and then trying again to reboost before buying a new rubber.

10% over 6 years is not how you measure it. When i first reach 2100+ it was an readjustment. My current 2200 level rating is not from a pass2 readjustment, i climb it the hard way.
And why I struggle? it was because i was ejing. Had i not reboost crap and try this and try that i would've reached this level way sooner. And save a lot of $$$ too.

Boosting effect might wear off but the rubber is still very playable. Si Zhi Gao's paddle(2500 player) was untouched since dec 2023 and its still very playable, comparable to mine. If you take the rubber off and reboost it, the rubber will be trashed and become unplayable.

1.9 just suits my game better. 2.1mm sometimes my ball goes to the net because i didn't engage the ball. Maybe when i'm 2300 i'll be good enough to use 2.1mm

i can't keep track of which thread is which. This thread is not the `PSA`. 2200 is not my peak, 2300 is next. My advice are sound, sure dislike my character. But at the end of the day the `psa` thread out there save people time and money.

my advice is even more suited for hobby player. Stick it on the paddle and don't touch it. The better the player the less time they spent mucking around with rubbers/paddle. 10 years but i take gap years and would've reached 2200 much sooner if i didn't EJ around.
Keep talking down on 2200, lmk when you get there.

I'll personally gift you guys some free rubbers when that happens which might never happen

• You people boost Chinese tacky rubber to soften it, am I right? My question is, why not just buy a softer version?
• I am genuinely curious; say you buy a 40 degree hardness neo H3 and then boost it to soften it. Yes?
• Why not just buy a 39 / 38 / 37 hardness instead. This is the question I am trying to understand from these boosting crowd. Thanks.

softer = less tension
idea hardness is 41 or 40 deg, and the booster to expand, to provide the idea tension
if people don't like to boost, I would normally suggest 39

37, for example is too soft and the forehand ball, the ball can't carry the power and kick
