Your advice is that buying expensive rubbers is more profitable than 6 years of training. Do you realise how unsound it is?

Thread been derailed by people with small paddle energy. So circle back to the topic. I just don't want to detail my EJ journey because i can write a book about it. Choices are bad, simplify your equipment is the best way to improve. Do it once, do it right (boost -> glue h3 -> don't touch it unless you want to change rubbers) and that's that. I've thrown easily mid 5 figures on EJing, countless h3 nationals, countless custom rackets, differently glue, different boosters, reboosting, sealing blades, boosting with jizz, w968, w968-1, w968 player, boll 70, tmxi pro, hl5x , hl5, sys and many other crap. Even right now i'm an EJ owning 3 gold vis at $800 each. So not only i am probably the highest rated player in this thread , i'm also the biggest EJ. I know exactly what i am talking about and when I said do not do stuff, just don't do it.

wrong analogy. I am an f3 racer or at the very least winning most of the drag races while most people here don't even own a sports car.

2200 is the top 6.5% of US players. This is good but not great. I was at the same point at the age of 18 in France, a way more competitive country when it comes to TT. Felix Lebrun was at this stage at the age of 10. At 11 he was already top 2% and at 12 top 0,5%.

I'm where I am, and I just have fun playing. The percentile says what it says (cca 5-6 percentile), but honestly, when I look at the better players, and see what they do, how they do, how they move, anticipate, their precision, it feels like I'm not even close to the middle of the scale ;-) Considering this as a "god" level, pfff...

OP made a good thread, but then his attitude showed more and more. I wish he can reflect one day... but now we can't help...

Regarding re-boosting, I'll repeat. I boost with 1 layer initially only. After 1 month I feel degradation, I hold another 2 weeks, and re-boost with 1 layer, then I feel better and can play 1 more month. All that approx. and simplified. I've done this many times, I'm sure there are people who see it similarly, just as I'm sure there are people who see it differently. And that is absolutely fine and has zero to do with the level of play... Sometimes in TTD people ask question about how should they do something, how will what be after what time etc. But it's all a personal preference, valid for each one, how could I not trust my personal feeling about how the blade plays. What else would we trust?
